Hi, I am also looking for boxes to arranges my earrings & other gold items. Ladies how do you organize your jewellery and from where did you buy the boxes or whatevr you use to organize. Please answer, before i loose or break my messy jewellery
Hi bap1 It is advisable to invest in a good jewellery box with a lock to take care of your jewels. given the increasing cost of gold it is wise to keep them safe and organized. also keep a note of all the jewels you have and keep this list in your safe... or in a place where you keep your imp.. docs... till such time you get hold of a jewel box... you can keep you jewels in ordinary boxes and put it all in a cloth bag and store it safely...
for gold jewelery you could get the jewelery boxes which are lined with the velvet from inside. this is also good for other expensive and delicate jewelery. for my fashion jewelery, i have made a box of my own, what i did was i used the gift boxes that comes with chocolates or dry fruits and in the holes i stuff it with cotton or place thermo-col inside, and then you place the jewels inside. I also covered the outside of those boxes with gift wrapping paper, some lace, bows etc to make it look cute..you could try it....
For Gold, traditional jewel boxes; For the rest, tool box lined with velvet. Tool box is a multi drawer box. I bought it in a kids' school supply petty shop in Koramangla but they do not carry it anymore. It is a common item though.. I bought that and lined it with felt cloth.
