H1B/H4 visa extension from US

    Hi,

    My husband's and mine visa got extended from here and we got out new I94 renewed till 2014.
    We are required to visit India for our BIL's marriage, does I94 still be considered or needed visa ?

    Both of ours Original H1B/H4 visa is going to expire in Sep 2012.
    Our new I94 forms(both) is extended till Oct 2014.

    Please reply ; some says when you visit India u need to go to Consulate office and extend visa ( basic step).

    I feel you need to get the visa stamped when you go to India. Since you already got the extension your old visa may not be valid for re-entry. You can check with your husband's company lawyer just to be sure.

    same pinch..mine and my husband h1b-h4 visa is expiring in sep2012:)
    still we didn't get our extension, as far as i know u need to get stamped while returning from india

    any idea how much time it takes for taking appointment in Chennai consulate? My DH will not get more than 2 weeks vacation as he joined new company two months back

    i got appointment before 1 month because there was so much queue..
    try to get appointment before u start from here through someone in ur family..
    i have no idea because our employer has taken care of all process...

    mumbai consulate u can book appt online itself...i am not so sure about chennai. Before re-entry u need the stamping done, hence the appt. As I94 is valid it should not be any problem, just a routine enquiry before stamping
