One of my friend in my prev company made sweet kesari (a sweet made in suji) and brought it to office. SHe has made it Ok-OK. I am very good in eating, and was very poor in cooking those days (I was with my parents) I had that sweet and gave some comments.

Two days later, I went to the nearby temple and they gave "kesari" as prasadham. Since I did not get time to eat it in the morning, my mother packed it with my lunch.

I opned my lunch box and everyone was so excited to see the yummy kesari. And that time my mind worked so smart (beleive me). :biggrin2: I told my friends that I prepared it in the morning. I added that I got this idea after my friend and since that was the first time I made very less in quantity (They will give one small cup as prasdham and I had many friends). Everyone had it and praised me a lot for the taste. (usually they make fun of me as I was zero in cooking that time) Some were even proud of me that I cooked so perfectly in the first attemply itself and will have a very good name in my in-laws family just for my cooking..blah..blah.. :exactly:

I was so proud of myself for my smartness and was very happy and at that instance one girl asked me that Question which changed the situation entirely!!

She asked me "Hey, its so sweet and nice, Ok, tell us na, how did u make it?" :bonk

Oh my God, then I knew I was such a dumb not to know the procedure. But tried to manage. Conversation goes like this.

Me: "Err... As you did two days back only di" (She was the one who brought this two days back). :hide:

She: No ma, yours has come out so soft and glossy, mine was dry and not so good as this. So tell me the proportions and all that na!!

(By now, everyone waned to know how I made it and was looking at my face only)

Me: "MM... You know, first take one cup of rava and fry it and keep it aside"

    Others: "Hmm... Ok Ok.. then"

Me: "Then keep kadai on stove, some oil, put rava and then water...." dint complete the sentence and started laughing. :rotfl

Everyone understood the reality and gave me nice punches and finally I admitted that it was indeed kovil prasadham!! My bad luck!! :crazy

    Hi aparna...

That is true... I have started cooking after marriage (3 months nearly) and I am an average cook now. Now that you have mentioned, I shall surely take the recipe and cook it!! :) Thanks for your comment!!

    Hi Deepa.

    Humorous one dear.

This is the problem---if we dont know to cook they will make fun and if we cook well(in ur case....stealing) then they will 100questions!!!

Good u told the truth or else she would have invited u2 cook kesari at her house functions.....and in temple they wouldn't have given periya dabbha full prasadam...

You know, Deepa, questions give way for the 'right' answer and in your place, the truth came out in the form of 'innocent' question..
Now you know the procedure isn't it..go ahead and surprise your friends, if they ask questions, this time too, they will get the right answer :)
