DS is 3.5 + and is in Nursery. He has a recitation competition coming up shortly. Can you guys suggest me some simple and nice ENGLISH rhymes for him to recite.

How abt daffodils??Will it be too much for his age?

Hi Brahan, I have one poem for which my son got 2nd price....i hope u will like it.

Aeroplane, aeroplane up in the sky,
where r u going flying so high,
over the mountains
over the sea,
Aeroplane, aeroplane wont! u take me.

It will add to presentation if u can make ur son learn some action.

There are numerous rhyms on youtube with nice music and beautiful videos. Search by 'nursery rhymes'. You may play those for him. He himself will pick up the one appeals him and will start singing after a number of viewings. My DD picked up many like this. I have to just play it for her.

Try 'wheels on the bus' .. my kids love this rhyme... and it is catchy too. my other choices would be,
'if you are happy', 'old macdonald had a farm'.. these are my kids favorites

Thank you all..But the Teacher is very specific that she doesnt want any Nursery Poem (Most of it aare known to all kids). So she want something from the Standard I english book..CAn someone help me in that?
