Learning Malayalam

    Hi Ladies,

    I am new to this thread ; am actually Kannadiga and married Thrissur guy(malayali). Hope no offense if used malayali.:lowdown
    After marriage we moved to US and its been 8 months we are here.
    I would like to learn and speak malayalam as I am on TTC and it will be easy for baby to learn and speak malayalam if both the parents are speaking same language.

    I saw online sites for learning but I find by having kind of conversation will be easier to learn.
    please help me to learn from small words to big sentences.

    thank u latha; i saw that ..but big posts makes me difficult to read :(...so thought of starting with small ones so this thread ...

    good that u r learning a new language...!!Any new language u learn makes u feel great....same thing happened to me when i learnt telugu(though I donno fully, but i can manage) although i donno anything related to malayalam(except for the fact that it is palindrome word)

    thank you @hs...there are instances where one common language helps in a family... my DH can understand kannada (not fast speaking )..so i have to come to that speed now..
