When should we take the Test

Yes, you can go ahead and do a preg test. As by now, if it is positive, it can be detected. You can try the preg test kits available off the counter. Best time is the morning when you can use the first urine sample. If it is negative, you can repeat after 3-4 days. If it is still negative, then pls visit your gynaec who will confirm whether positive or negative through a scan and if negative, she will prescribe you some tablets to start your menses again.
