What is there with kids which makes us love them more and more as they grow old?? :)

I have a sweet cute niece who is studying in her 2nd grade now. Our family was living in the same apartment of her's from the time her parents were married so we used to see them daily. I was with her right from her birth till a year and a half ago when I had to move to a different location for my job. I have always adored her. Not because she is the only niece or she is a picture prefect dolly-dolly girl or anything. Just her attitude and the way she carries herself...!! No one in my family have had that kind of attitude. She loves me so much and I just adore her a lot. She is a kid who always gives proper reply to elders that very often leaves us dumbstruck.

But she always have problems in eating. All kids do i guess. But she gives a real tough time. For school, her mother used to pack her lunch box. Most of the days she wont finish the lunch, not even half of the lunch. Her mother got much tensed one day and shouted at her badly saying she will not pack lunch the next day if she dont eat her full box. And the next day she packed tomato rice for lunch and warned her to eat her lunch fully. When my niece returned back from school, her mother checked the lunch box and was surprised to see that the lunch box was empty. She felt very happy for an instant but was not able to believe her own eyes.

So she called my niece and asked "you have thrown the food right?" My niece got shocked and replied "How did you find out mom"? Mom replied " I know, how come you had not even left the curry leaves and chilly? Dont try to cheat me. Have your lunch fully, I can find out else".

The next day, chapatti was packed as lunch for her. In the evening, when her mom checks the lunch box, she was surprised to see that only two small pieces of chapati was remaining. However; knowing her daughter she cant believe that too! She again questioned her daughter, "Tell me the truth dear, I know you have not eaten your lunch fully.". My niece, with eyes full of tears replies back," Mom, how you found out again?". (My niece knowing her mom, throwed all but two pieces of chapati!! :rotfl Kids!!!) Her mom replied "I know, i have a spy in your school".

Her mom got real furious, and dint pack lunch for her the next day. In her lunch break, my niece's Teacher found that she had not brought lunch, scolded her parents for being so irresponsible, took a plate and asked every student to give a handful of their own lunch for my niece. My niece itseems was very embarrassed and begged her teacher not to do it!! :bonk But her teacher insisted and when my brother went to pick her that day, he was questioned by several teachers that day and he passed the same (may be a bit more) to my SIL once they reached home! Later when I had a talk with niece about it, she mimicked her teacher's action to me, with a plate in hand (LOL! She was just 5 years old!!) and said "Oh,I felt so embarrased..! And all because of my mom! "

Oh God! I laughed and laughed and laughed, hearing this incident and I just love her more and more!! :)
