1) X is a peculiar word. It itself is an example of an X. Originally meaning a suitcase, it now has a meaning in no way apparently related to suitcases, but the development of its meaning over the ages, explains its current meaning. As like all English words, this too has been borrowed from a European language. Its meaning in that language has changed over the years, from cloak-carrier to false friend. Give us X. 2) X is an album by bestselling artist Y. Originally Y went through several names before zeroing in on X. They had named it Evolution, but another album (by another artist) with the same name was due to be released. They then decided to use a plant metaphor Z to show how far they have come. They decided it was a little too reflective, and decided to name a "Best of Y" album as Z. (Z has not come out however). The name X, which could be considered as indicating a swansong, caused quite a speculation. Two of the band members were actively involved in their solo careers. However, X was an acronym, and was expanded to a phrase indicating the dance-party nature of the album. Ironically, Y's next album W, meant the opposite of X. The album X has spanned many number one singles. Infact, Y is one of the few artists to have one of their singles replacing another of their own at first spot on The U.S Billboard Hot 100. X (in full) and Y please. Pls help me with the answer asap. Thanks in advance
The first oneortmanteau: a case or bag to carry clothing while traveling, especially a leather trunk or suitcase that opens into two halves. The literal French meaning is “cloak carrier” A more recent use of the word in linguistics is to define a blend, a word made by putting together parts of other words, as dandle, made from dance and handle. port·man·teau (pôrt-mnt, prt-, pôrtmn-t, prt-) n. pl. port·man·teaus or port·man·teaux (-tz, -tz) A large leather suitcase that opens into two hinged compartments. The Second one: Let it be by The Beatles. followed by Get back, though never recorded together and is a compilation. Hmm..its a guess.
