availability of kasuti net

    Hi,
    Can anybody suggest from where I can get kasuti net in Cochin, Kerala. I tried much, but didnt get

    We can use mosquito net material which are sold in calico show room,or you can also use matty cloth which is avarilable in most of the craft shops

    Thanks Vani.I will try for mosquito net. But when I tried matty cloth,the stitch got loosened as I removed the strands after the embroidery is done.How can I rectify that? Any suggestions.....

    yes. youtry at calico show room,that should be in cotton material, square mesh, white colour.

    I did a few designs in a different method. It came out very well.draw design on a graph paper.Trace it on the fabric with yellow or white carbon paper and then stitch the design.Try it and see.

    how many thread strands should one use for cotton dress? and when drawing design on trace paper (1/2 inch or 1/4 inch) the graph paper should be?

    One strand of thread is usually used for this type of embroidery . used inch graph.one small square represents one stitch.I have posted one image that I had collected from the web.

    vani can we remove thread using mosquito net once work is done as we do using kasuthi net
