Good question. I live here for long time and this is my home. I don't have immediate family in India. But I love to visit. It is not India is not good, but we are used to our life here. Now a days, I have seen lots of young people talk as if we are not loyal to our country or culture. After sometime, same people get green card and bring their parents here.
Once we retire, we may stay in India few months every year. But this is my home. I love Indian food, I wear sari and have respect for all the people.
Let us hear form others. Good day.

This is my second yr in USA. I am here with my DH and my 7yr old son. If I compare my life in India with US I feel my life in India was awesome. I hv my own home there in metro city. Life was in full swing more freedom. You get better service if u r willing to pay. Most imp if u r talkative like me u will feel bore in USA.
Life in India was like "Daud daud bhaag bhaag sa tik tikak tik ghadi ki sui chalti hee rahe"

    Two sides:

been living in the USA for quite sometime... this country taught me a lot of things - be independent (never out of home before that), honesty, sincerity, dedication, of how to enjoy what I do, and most importantly made me see how I cannot run without my FAMILY!

At the end of the day, home is where the heart is - and my home is where my parents live in India...

My motive in coming to the USA was not to earn in dollars, but to get a part of my education that was not available in India... I do enjoy my life here... But end of the day, miss being with my parents...

The happiness that you get living in India and the US are two different things, and they cannot be compared against each other... Somewhere, deep down, I have a craving to go back to India, to be closer to my parents, so that I can see them more often in flesh and blood and not have skype conversations....

I personally like it here bcos first of all the relatives r far far away. I really like the schools and their way of teaching here. roads, stores, malls and the way of shopping (hassle free returns) and we have the independence to do what we want and when we want without any interference. But the irony is I'm able appreciate all these things here after 10 years of US stay and now time to move back to India and not really very excited about it.

I think the choice would differ time to time depending on the stage of one's life and their current preferences.

I liked our few years of stay in US because it gave me exposure of a different culture, place and people. But I always knew that I cannot spend my life there because I was not made for it. So happy to come back to India.

I would advise my kid to study or work in US/ abroad first and then make her own decision where to settle. My choice is mix of both.
