    Hi ILites,

I'm very new to kitchen. :hide:. I make Chapathi's for lunch.
Actually I make the dough at night keep it refrigerated in Tupperware Lunch Box. I take out the dough half an hour before preparing Chapathi.
But chapathis comes up very hard like a papad. It's normal if i add a bit of oil. But is there any other way to make it softer without using oil? I'm trying to lose weight and consciously trying to reduce oil content. Help Please.

Let the dough not be very thick/hard.. Keep it soft...

You are trying to lose weight, in this case just put the chapathi on tawa turn once both the sides and after that heat it on flame both the sides... It will be soft... Also you will not require any oil or ghee... :)

    Hope this helps...

Whenever you prepare the dough, add a little curd along with water.. This way the dough will be soft. Also put the dough in a plastic cover and then keep it in the tupperware. This way the dough wont discolor.

If you prepare the dough only with curd, then the dough wont discolor..

    Hi
i have personally tried many ways of sfot chapattis..
mix aata in normal water and since u are keeping it in fridge make it little more loose...
When u press it, press it in the corners and continue making the circle larger..
    This really works..
