Does changing address before applying for newborn passport in INDIA mandatory

    I am in the process of applying my newborn's passport.Mine and my DH passport issue is from Bangalore.Now i am at my native(diffrent place).Do i need to change my address to the present address before appying for my newborn.
    Anybody applied for their newborn in the recent 11 months as i am told that this rule from 11 months.

    Dear Friend,

    I did apply for passport for my daughter 2 months back who is now 2 yrs old. The childs passport will be issued in the address of the parents passport only. They will deny to issue it in any other address. So it becomes mandatory for atleast one of you to have the current address updated. It just takes 7 working days for all miscellaneous changes to be done up in passport office. so no big deal.

    from which place you applied you baby passport?
    did you had diffrent address in your passport.wat documents did you produced for cange of address.

    anybody applied recently for their kids?
    Did anybody had to change address in the passport to get their kids paspsort?
