    I want to know the best material for modular kitchen works in india/kerala- (Except natural wood). Can anybody suggest me the best material and the advantages of using it?.

    Rubber wood will be suitable for modular kitchen. In kerala here i came to know many using this. Coming to advantages part this wood looks like as if it is varnished with smooth top. If you want any further details about modular kitchen and it's best catalogue pls do let me know.

    Thanks so much for your reply hema... As per my understanding rubber wood is too costly..... any idea about multiwood and another marine plywood works?

    rubberwood is not only expensive needs expertise to allow for the expansion that the wood goes through when it is too humid..but love the finish of the wood..have been watching the popularity of this wood for the past 18 years..and the first thing i saw made out of rubber wood was a traditional kerala lamp at a rubber plantation research...

    go for waterproof treated hardwood or mdf ....
