    Hi friends,

All of us, have some weakness, when it comes to food items. Some would be profound sweet lovers, would have difficult times in controlling their sweet eating urges.

Some would be samosa lovers, tempting often to samosa eating urge.

Some would be ice cream lovers, some would be chocolate lovers. All of you/us, have one thing in common.............that is............a food item, you love most. That remains as a challenge in your weight loss. In the weight loss process, I am working hard......, my two threads are already in this section. They are:

    http://www.indusladies.com/forums/k...140889-monday-determination-how-helps-me.html

    http://www.indusladies.com/forums/keep-fit-and-maintain-shape/126120-lost-four-kg-four-months.html

Now coming to the point being discussed here, for me, the food I love most is Biriyani, both chicken and mutton biriyani. There were days, when I have eaten biriyani almost every day (in the past). Now , I am on a weight loss journey. So, I curtail my biriyani intake in the following way.

Twice in a week, we go out to eat in restaurants. I have made a rule, that no biriyani should be prepared in home. (out of the fear that if it is made in food, I would eat a lot). The two restaurant outings, in a week, I take biriyani. Before taking biriyani, I order 'green salad' and butter milk. I start with green salad. For every one morsel of biriyani, I take one morsel of green salad also.

With maximum restriction , I have curtailed my biriyani intake to twice in a week. I am not able to curtail it beyond this limit.!!

Friends.............you must have designed an individual unique way to curtail the intake of the food you love most, in the process of weight loss journey. Share that process of curtailing with us here in this thread.

I do not make any such rules/regulations....whenever I feel like eating something I just go ahead.

I have seen more you resist, the more it persists. :)

    Hi "Aspire",

thanks for dropping in. It is true, sometimes, the more you resist a temptation, the more it persists. But, that does not mean, one should succumb to the temptation always, right ?

With me, my biriyani love is so immense that I do not get fed up, even if I eat it daily. "Biriyani weekly twice only" is a self restricted discipline to me, which I have been sincerely abiding by, since the last six months.:)

I know, habits die hard. Amazing to know that you do not get fed up with "Biriyani", even if you eat daily. :)

Luckily, I do not have any such favourites to fight hard :)
