RH factor ..anyone has idea

Hi Vani,congrats on your pregnancy...first go and consult gynaecologist ,she will ask to do blood test to check rh factor...then she can probably help you...dont worry,go and meet as soon as possible...

 

should that be negative for good pregnancy?

 

From what I have seen with a friend of mine who was Rh- and her DH was Rh+, there kids born wud hv minor issues in the first couple of days of birth,a mild jaundice is wht would be there after that there would be no issues at all ... tell your gynac they take precautions earlier itself

i cudnt but ignore ur post....

during pregnancy doc will ask to check ur blood group with Rh factor.... (example... my group was O+... means group O n Rh group is +ve and same for my hubby).... if negative (mother's) and positive (father's)... you will be given 2 or 3 injections (one or two before delivery and one at the time of delivery... i didnt have this problem so im not sure about how many injections)... this is given coz... mostly baby's blood group will be different... n baby's blood n mom's blood shudnt mix during delivery... (there are chances of blood mixing during delivery via umbilical cord through which baby receives nutrients etc from mom's body)... if injections are not given... it wont trouble the baby (first baby) or mom... the mixed blood will remain in the mom's body... n if she gets pregnant again... her body will reject the baby... (here i dono how ur daddy's sister lost her babies after birth... sorry... i have no idea...) (this is what my gyn told me few months back and also what my mom told)

know ur blood groups (ur n your DHs) and if of opposite Rh group... discuss the same with ur doctor... my mom knew about this when she delivered me (in the 80s)... i was surprised how u people didnt know about this....

as to what i know n what mom n my gyn told me... above is the only way infant death occur due to Rh factor... other than that i have no idea... sory...

there is nothing like negative for good pregnancy and positive for bad pregnancy or vice versa...

if negative.... ur gyn should note it down so that u will be injected soon after ur delivery... so that ur and ur LOs blood wont mix... plz read my post here..

its nothing related to genes here... its related to only ur blood groups (ur n ur DHs)

Hi vani, congrats for ur motherhood...
regarding RH, if father is RH +ve and mother is RH -ve then the first baby will not be affected by this, only in second pregnancy if the foetus is rh +ve and mother being RH -ve then mother body will produce some antibody that affect the foetus.....
that tooo now a days medical advancement has made some injections that when given to mother will not affect the baby, and they can have a safe baby...
anyways consult a doctor

I agree with Ammani. I am Rh negative and my husband is Rh positive. I had a miscarriage in my first pregnancy, I dont think it had anything to do with Rh factor, because immediately after the miscarriage they checked whether the mixing happened and it hadnt. For my second pregnancy, I was given the anti-D injection at 25 weeks and then one after the birth. My daughter who is Rh positive had no problems at all.
