Follicular study please help me

    Dear All,

    I am sowmya 25years old, I am married 1.6 years ago. We aretrying for a baby for the past 5 months so far we didn’t succeeded. I haveirregular periods because of PCOS, we consulted a gynic in our area and she put up yamini tables andovea care tables for two months. Now my periods are in normal. I got my periodson 1stDec, she advised me to take letrozole from 3rd day to 8th day of my cycle and suggested for aFollicular study. We heard that letrozole is the banned drug in india for this kind oftreatments, we conveyed the same doubt to the doctor and she told it is common andshe prescribed this tables for many patients and seen very good results. We heardthat in cases this will result in defective babies , is this true?
    So wedon’t want to take any chances that is why we postponed the use of tables for2more months and want to try naturally. Now I am going for the Follicular studyand the test results are:

    8<sup>th</sup> day LO-9,8,7 RO- 8,7,6 and end thick is 6.8

    10<sup>th</sup> day LO-9,8,7 RO- 8,7,6 and end thick is 8.6

    13<sup>th</sup> day LO-9,8,7 RO-9, 8,7 and end thick is 10.3

    And my next check-up is on 15<sup>th</sup> day and that ison 15<sup>th</sup> dec.

    Please check my reports and tell me how I am progressing isthis the normal one? I am so much worried about this. And some final doubts I have seen many drugs on internet for follicularstimulation are they safe to use? Is this process same as natural birth? Do they leave any wrong impacts on babies?

    Hi Sowmya,

    My doctor is strongly against Letrozole...i don-no why...becoz might its a banned medicine in india...
    U can ask her to prescribe clomid....if u want...even my doctor prescribed me clomid and not letrozole....
    Check with her...do not intake the medicine if u are not happy with it....

    Did you take the letroz dosage prescribed or not,
    does 13th mean it is CD13 or ...
    when u say 9,8,7 do u mean the size of the follicles

    the pblm with clomid is that it reduces the endo lining, hence ppl prescribe letroz

    I took Letroz and conceived on the first try .. I now have a happy healthy active baby boy :bowdown

    sorry for the delay. No i didn't take letorz, i am using only ova care and folic acid tablets doctor suggested for follicular study. yes it is CD13, please suggest us better way we are in confusion whether to go with letorz or trying naturally

    Hi, I have used both clomid and letrozole. Both produced same number of follicles on me. Since clomid thins my endo lining, i was moved to letrozole. With letrozole i didn't have lining problem.
