new weight loss project starting this week...

    Hi Ladies,
    All of you who are 80+ are encouraged to join this... as this is going to be a progressive one and result oriented... we would go the natural way and keep motivating each other...

    Here is a brief introduction about me,
    Height-4.11
    weight-82.2 kgs

    Exercise and Diet regime
    Yoga-1 hr everyday
    more will be posted soon.... so, ladies pls reply so that we can look positive for the coming new year... :thumbsup

    we will take this up as a project..

    First and formost will be a clensing program.. which will comprise of taking more water... 1 litre per 20kgs of body weight...

    Second would be taking up a form of exercise.. (this is initial stage.. will increase the intensity as we go)

    Third is bringing in regulations in the diet pattern...

    Fourth --Being positive in all ways by reading spiritual books and prayers...

    Fifth-- Recording compliments and reading success stories again and again..

    Ladies... we will do this in a systematic way.... hope to get ur support...:)

    Dear Divyaa,
    have only 2 litres of warm water through out the day not more than that, include more fruits in your diet and have protiens everyday, it helps in weight loss.

    thanks for dropping in...
    Here is my schedule for today
    morning warm water 1 glass and methi seeds(fenugreek seeds)
    45 mins of yoga
    1 bowl K kellogs and milk + 4 almonds
    water 2glasses
    lunch-75gms rice, beans, sambar,curd,1 papad
    planning to complete the day with negative calorie fruits..like apple etc... fruit bowl and may be oats in the night....
    see, never be hungry and eat something whenever hungry but less in calories...

    And Alps,
    sorry to comment on ur post.. but water intake is very important in weight loss and quantity is not a restriction as it leads to increase in BMR which is very essential for inch loss especially....Divyaa i appreciate you... drink more water it really helps...

    i had 5 litres yesterday... today m planning the same.. i ll post at the day close.....

    i will post the other things we would take up by next week, appreciate if both of u(bunchofroses n divyaa) to post ur daily routine here... atleast by d end of the day... waiting.... :)

    Alpa is right.

    Though our body consists of 66% percentage water and we need to drink water for the proper balance in the functioning, even excess water is harmful.

    excess water can even lead to death..not trying to frighten you. having been at the nephro department of a leading hospital with my mil, i have been told this. if you need more info you can google on water intoxication . the kidneys of a healthy person can process only so much water. anything in excess leads to the water being absorbed by other cells by osmosis..which could be fatal..

    The allowed average for men is 3.3 and for women is 2.2. anything more has to be monitored. you have to be observant if you are retaining water. your sweating, your urinary output. we always associate 8 glasses of water because it is easier to remember or we learn the same in our science textbooks from when we are kids..

    i am not a competent person to talk on this but have been with a kidney patient..

    You are talking about a person who had kidney problems...am talking about persons who are healthy enough..

    ideally its 1 litre for every 20kgs of body weight... this is for weightloss...

    sorry amnique.. i am talking about a healthy person. when a person has kidney problems his water/fluid intake is reduced to almost 500ml..and i am not going to argue more on this. if you are confident and are sure go ahead.

    since i have too many health issues, i keep track of warnings..and i have a cousin who suffers with water retention. thus this post..
