    Hey gals,

I spend much on shopping and waste money in buying clothes most of the times. If anything attracts me in the shop I would just go buy it..no matter whether I wear it or not..I even bought few tops just to see and enjoy as they never fitted to me:rotfl

Just curious to know where it would be in your case...?

Oh boy....same here, and am also so fond of kitchen electrics. What ever I see new I buy it no matter how expensive it is.....how bad the reveiws it has.....just buy everything clothes, electrics, hair accessories, kitchen items, bed linens, food items what not...... even stuff from Dollar store.... ohhhh yeahhhhhh...... I end up spending atleast $100 once/twice in a month just in Dollar store (if you do not have an idea what it is all about.... everything in that store costs "a dollar") , when I get back home and open the bags I just see nothing usable ones........except those shopping bags to dump the trash in....... so that says I am a "shopping freak....."

    Hey shanmukhabhavan,

your username is reminding me of saravana bhavan which I used to hang out weekly while in Chennai :)

So that our bad habits perfectly matched..now let us keep common goals..Lets not buy for the next time when our eye falls on something;)

Ha ha yes i know..even here i end up buying a lot of things at Pound land and 99p store(everything for a pund or less)...

I feel it would be better not to carry any cards with us while we go out..Just keep some cash that is sufficient to travel and should restrict ourselves with window shopping..

I also waste money by not maintaining the vegetable stock in fridge properly..Would often fail to complete eggs before they get expired..

I know Spuppala, I remembered one of our fellows IL also expressed the same.....but it supposed to be Shanmukha & Bhavani... but IL did not allow me for that too many letters....

yes, perhaps twin crazy shopping freaks....??????

But we carry DH with us.... then????...... my credit card/cash is my hubby....

oh again same here.... you know what if you open our fridge door you can not see anything else except a bunch of stuff hiding in the zip lock bags... When I want something I need to dig all the over the fridge, but I would find everything except what I wanted, either I found it but have to trash it or did not find and go for shopping. Again same story…..buying… stocking up…. not using….dumping… digging……buying……[/JUSTIFY]

But never tried them even one until now, even have not opened a page and look what they have got……so planning send them to my sister back home....

P.S: I love your Avatar… just curious is it real or is it scenery…….

Ars… yeah me too….. we were like that until 2weeks ago… but from then on not eating out perhaps just once in a week….our menu in a week was like this….atleast 3-4 lunch/dinner out side (home delivery)/ 2-3 times in the restaurants….atleast 2 times pizza…….

By the way Spuppala I wanted to post in your thread about the goodies that wanted to give up…one is SAMOSA and another one is PIZZA…. I’ll post it in there some time soon….

    Hi Sravani,

    Welcome to the challenge !!
We shall make a plan not to waste any more veggies/groceries and contribute to the increase in per capita income of our families :)

As for books you need not worry a lot I guess..Buying books is always a intelligent investment..Once your DS finishes reading them try to distribute them to any children who are in need.
Toys-to some extent that is okay.We need to make them aware of the importance of money from the younger age. Most of the boy kids spoil toys very soon and cry for new ones. This is where we need to concentrate. We need to tell them to keep the toys safe after playing. Also one idea is to decorate them after few days of usage and give a new look..Kids always want them to be new..

Also we can encourage them to try out some simple crafts:)

    Hi sush,

    A warm welcome to you..

Yes,we think a lot about money investments and ignore to save it in our daily routine.
It is always good to buy in larger quantities as we know that we can save few bugs. But what is important is to store them properly. If we are unable to do so then it is better we buy them in small quantities.

One best thing is to keep sticky notes in our mobiles or laptop..
