Dear chitra madam, Regularly i am chanting Sri kanagadhara stotram, Because i like the words of the slokha very much. As you said I also wanted to know the meaning of the slokha. I am awaiting remaining paragraphs meanings. Thank you for your spiritual activities. regards SHREESUNDARAM
Dear Chits, I know this sholka 90% by heart. I always have the habit of reading the meanings of the shloka which i recite else its like a nursery child reciting "jack and Jill".
Dear Hamsadhwani, Thanks. You please see if you can download from Chennai online. Giri definitely has it. Shortly they as well as saregama.com plan to start the downloading music service on the net. Then it will be very easy for you. Love, Chithra.
Dear Shreesundaram, Thankyou. Chanting the shloka, knowing the meaning is more pleasurable ! Love, Chithra.
Dear Mals, You are incomparable ! Knowing the meaning of all that we chant is far from easy. I am now thinking of asking your help for translation ! Will you oblige, Mals? Love, Chits.
Dear Chits, I know the meaning of the shlokas I recite. When I am interested in a shloka, i first copy it in my handbook. Then I search for the meanings. When I have a glimpse of what I am reciting, I listen to the audio version of the shloka a couple of times. I repeat my recitation with the audio (all in private.. haha.. 0nce I am through with my learning process, I meet the eyes of my lord and recite. (Thats the reason I am called patiamma.... ).. You are an encyclopedia of Shlokas Chits, we always have to come to you to learn... and we all happily do so... Bye
Dear Chithra, Another gem from you - we should not be surprised any more by you undertaking these projects. Good luck! Will keep up with you and read all the meanings - so good to understand the meaning in our own language. Regards.
Dear C An excellent work after Lalitha Sahasranamam in Tamizh...! You never seem to be short of ideas...I can recite it without a book, however, can't claim that I know the complete meaning. Your efforts inspire to make an effort to learn the meaning. I have a rendering of this by Bala Periva which is as beautiful as the sloka itself. I shall look up for the Bombay sisters Ponmazhai( I have listened to their Tamizh version of Aigiri Nandhini ). I will follow this thread closely and refrain from anymore FBs here so that it can be just the slokas. -Gayathri.
