    Hi,

How are u all? I have a quick question.

My MIL asked me not to take oil bath for the first month of pregnancy.

I asked her the reason.she doesnt know the reason!!

I take head bath twice in a week without soaking for a long time.

since i use only shampoo here in US,Hair gets wet very soon.

    Any suggestions?

    dear cathy,
this could be because once u take oil bath the heat of the body gets reduced and may be she felt that as you are pregnant nothing should hinder it, untill it settles down well, even journey by auto or on a bad road should be avoided, and eating of papaya or other heat generating fruits like pineapple and mango are a no no during this period, just a precaution but i think u dont keep it long so try to widen the time frame and u can be cool, try sitting in a bath tub of cold water it helps a lot, to cool down the system, and take a lot of buttermilk instead of coffee i know you frowning as winter is around but this time around the body also get too heated with the climate, so constipation u must avoid, take a lot of greens too, help ease the motion..sunkan

    Hi Cathy,
As far as I know there isn't any medical reason for you not to have a head or oil bath when you are pregnant. I had one everyday through most of my pregnancy ( I have very oily hair and it was summer) and never had any problems. Bumpy travel and lifting heavy weights are probably best avoided in the first 3 months.

the pickles are ok for sometime as they are hot and generate a lot of heat in the body, try to lessen it the rest is great sk

    Congrats on your pregnancy :)

Well no idea about why your mother in law insisted on not taking head back.,...becoz when I gave the news of my conception to my MIL, she told me to take head bath twice a week...once on friday (with Oil bath) and the other on Sunday (Which I usually do).

The best thing to have when you dont feel like eating anything is vegetable juice (V8) which will provide daily serving of vegetables (or fruits, V8-Fusion).
    HOPE YOU FEEL GOOD.

    Hi,

I really never understood why they call it morning sickness as it was for me almost the whole day. I can completley understand what you are going through.
I am in 26 weeks now and by my 14th week, nausea stopped. so it will go away. Thats the good part.

Now to get till 14th weeks, you can try having veg soup, tomato soup. Avoid tea, coffee in empty stomach. People told me to have biscuits first thing in the morning. But I never felt like eating anything. The soup did however help.

I am still puzzled that they say during pregnancy you crave for foods. Till now I havent craved for something. Except I am trying to make rasgullas which is not coming out proper yet :crazy

On the contrary, I dislike certain foods I used to like before.

However, just a tip that trying reducing sweets, choclates.
