    Hi friends,

I use whirlpool full automatic washing machine. Motor din rotate and stopped working yesterday. Whirlpool servicing guy checked and told that there is lot of scaling in the machine (lot of dust). He asked me to change some parts in the machine. To avoid scaling again in future I was advised to do tubclean with powder which whirlpool provides. But i din buy as i thought i will get it in outside market. I feel the one whirlpool provides is expensive. Is there any other tubclean powder available in the market?

I had a whirlpool fully automatic machine and had experienced similar problems. I had to buy the powders what they provided and the service was damn lousy. My machine was giving lot of problems and without any help from WP. Hence recently I changed my machine.

I am not sure whether we get this powder outside in the retail market.

    vidsen,

yes the tub needs to be descaled frequently. the products are a little expensive. I am having a wP, and touchwood for the past 3 years the customer service has been prompt too. the scalegon definitely helps doing a good job. i use one once a month with lots of hot water in.

i was in a supermarket and did see scalegon, only thing is i don't remember where. but a word of caution, there is a expiry on it. it works best within 6 months.

    Hi,

Even IFB has a similar product: Descal to remove scaling from the washing machine. It has another product called Protecta which will prevent building up of limescale in the washing machine.

You can get the price and more information about them here: Additives & Accessories| Washing Machine Cleaner, Washing Powder

There is an order form below. You can fill it up and place the order. They deliver it to your home, free of charge.
