When you do regular exercises, to about 40 minutes every day, you must have certainly appreciated a sense of well being , felt in body and mind.

But, have you appreciated two more realities ? One........... When your exercises are continous for (at least) every five days of a week, you will be more immune to common infective illnesses like upper respiratory infections (cold). Two................You will also see , your allergic disorders (like sneezing twenty times , upon coming in contact with dust and, having both nostrils full with secretions due to contact with some house hold allergens) will be getting cured on their own.

This is because, exercises increase the blood level of substances called, noradrenaline and endorphins. These substances, increase our immunity to infective diseases. Also, these substances make the body become more capable of coming out of allergic disorders also.

Anyone has experienced these two advantages of exercises ?

Please share your first hand experiences in this thread.

    Hello Indian guy,

I agree with you:bowdown:bowdown:bowdown:bowdown:bowdown. My husband does Taichi everyday past 17 years. He was doing good. Now he doesn't do much because travels a lot for business reason. We can see the difference. Same thing for me. I am doing some kind of meditation which includes exercise 4 days a week and walk in the morning for 30 min. It improves not only the health also your peace of mind.

    Keep on exercising!!!!:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

Hi,Even I have experienced this.before I used to have throat infection and fever every few months. But ever since I started my walking regime,I have not had any fever for 2 years. Also I have seen big difference in my sneezing. Before I used to sneeze some 15-20 times in the morning, that has also disappeared with my walks .Eventhough I walk outside in winters early in the morning,I have no such problems now.

    Hi Coffeelover, mankam & sansam,

    Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I started this thread with one intention. There are so many members, who say, "I hate to do exercises". Just to impress upon them, that exercises have advantages far beyond just 'weight loss'

Let us see, what other people say about it, in this thread.

    Hi Indianguy,
i totally agree with you, i used to suffer a lot from asthma and wheezing, after joining gym 10yrs ago doing aerobics my health improved a lot and can say that it is due to the exercises.

    Hi Alpa,

Thanks for that input. Let us hope, this thread will help enormously, in changing the exercise reluctance of some members, who want a short cut in weight loss, without exercises.

The sense of well being one enjoys throughout the day, after a thirty minutes' morning walk, can not be substituted by anydrug.

One has to experience it, rather than speaking or listening about it. Right ?

    Hi IG,
what you said is true, we need to have an exercise regime in our daily life as exercising is very important to us. My father has been suffering from diabetes and had a by pass surgery done in 1994 at his age of 75yrs today he is doing extremely well the doctors told him last year that his heart strong and diabetes under control all doue to everyday walking in the morning for an hour and swimming for 30 mins and taking care of his diet, he is very alert and wakes up everyday at 4.30am.
We put on weight over the years but we want to loose it in months and immediately but we never want to exercise, i always believe in NO PAIN NO GAIN. Even 30 mins of doingbrisk walking everyday in the morning will help you a lot.
    love

    Nice thread IG!

I used to hate exercises too but not anymore! Exercise has helped me improve my lung capacity. My lung capacity used to very low with the blow test. I am feeling that it is getting stronger. I have much less wheezing problems now and I feel stronger than before.

I strongly feel that people should sneak in some form of physical activity in their daily routine.
