    Hi all

I am having this issue only for past two cycles. Whenever I go to gym I have spotting in between periods. When I was walking or running never experienced this.Has anyone experienced same issue ? Is anyone aware that does GYM increases any hormones level or something or its just some strain due to GYM that causes spotting ?

I just googled it : ) There are lotsa women who have spotting when they stress there bodies more like increase workouts etc..I never knew this before

But generally keeping fit and being in the right weight is the best thing for your menstrual cycle and fertility : ) But if one is underweight (that is etreme cases like anorexia ) then your cycles will be irregular and may cease ..

So you dont worry ..This could be annoying but not a problem

    Just few q 's

    1) any chance you are pregnant ?
    2) Are you on OCP's ,Nuvaring ,Intrauterine device in etc ,
3 ) another possibility is any polyps

So if it still bothering u and problem is persisiting even after few cycles You can always see ypur Gyne and she would rle out any local cervical infections, polyps etc.99% it would all be negative ...So the conclusion is its just your body is reacting to more stress thts all : )

    Dear,

I have lost 13 kgs recently. I did not have spotting when I hit gym, but my cycles went haywire for 3 months after hitting the Gym. My gynec said that there is nothing to panic and said it will get ok by itself within 3 months. Believe me she was right, it is on dot nowadays for last 3 months, I am not taking medication. A sudden surge in physical activity and dieting, our body will take sometime to adapt. If you are not sure, you can consult your gynec.

    Dear Hema,

I actually have most of the stuff at home. My initial weight loss was because of walking and after 5 kg I set up a home gym. Later I enrolled in gym close to my home just for weekends so that I get a personal trainer. I dont have any pointers as I am not sure where you stay, check the one's in your neighbourhood. Few have dedicated hours for ladies.

One of my friends joined Talwalkars and lost 18 kg, she was suffering from Hyperthyroid and was just too fat for last 5 years. I understand that they make customised plan for her, I dont have talwalkers in my neighbourhood. Hope my information is helpful to you.

    All

I am not pregnant and not on any medication. Yes I had a miscarriage in March 2010 . Since then trying my best to loose weight.
I went to my Gynecologist but he could not give me any reasonable answer. Actually i just don't trust doctors in US. I will be visiting India in month of October. If it persists till then i shall consult gynecologist there. Anyways I have to see a gynecologist there to know if I am ovulating or not as my first conceiving was on clomid and that also lasted only for 4 months. I had miscarriage in close to 5th month. So I trust Indian doctors more. Once i come to know if its any reason for this I shall update this forum for our future reference.

or rather what is ur home equipment ??

i dont have any gym nearby
though i wish to have weight loss buddies - for which a gym would be a good place to motivate and as u said we can find a personal trainer...

anyways thanks for the weekend gym hitting plan - sounds good !!:idea

btw do have idea about how much tawalkars or vlcc takes for weight loss monthly sessions ??

    hi negasi,

sorry about the m/c... take care of ur health... i myself have faced this m/c problem and i know how it feels.

i think it would be great if u are ovulating naturally because of good health rather than with clomid ( because this is my aim too) .... not that clomid or any ovulation induction is bad !!

pls let us know the reason for mid period spotting after u consult in India.. as it will useful to many others who are ttc like u and me...

also there is always a doubt in my mind as to what exercise is allowed and what is not when we are TTC / pregnant !!

    Dear Hema,

I have a home ellipitical and treadmill. I am comfortable with both. You can got a good shop and try both, then you will be able to come to conclusion which will suit you. My elliptical is elliptical cum cycle, so if you opt for ellitpical check if you can get something that will serve you dually.

VLCC is not a gym, they offer some treatments for weight loss. One of my cousins joined VLCC and lost 15kgs and paid a hefty amount for that. They gave a diet plan and it is mandatory to go for walking 30 mts everyday. Apart from that they will have weekly sessions, in which they connect some machine and claim that it will help you for weight loss. I saw the diet plan, its a balanced one, but I felt if we follow the diet plan and walk religiously everyday we will loose weight no need to pay thi money to VLCC. I also have no idea how far this weight loss program is good, but can definitely tell you that its not worth for the money. But they do have some tummy tuck and firming sessions which may be useful to prevent streches in the skin due to weight loss

Why don't you call talwalkars and check? They have some discounts going on till 5-Sep-2010, I saw the advertisement in IL now.

Sorry if I gave too much info :hide:
