The shrine is visited by devotees praying for quick settlement of marriage alliances and birth of offspring. It is believed that it is very very good for all those people born in rohini nakshathiram and
those who are from fine arts field (dance, singing, art etc) if they visit this temple.

An article from the hindu ....
(article is quite old, but it is new news for me !!!!!)

Oothukadu Krishnan is magnificent. One can easily witness the gap between Sri Krishna's leg and the head of Kalinga. It is a sculptural marvel.

The Kavi had sung many songs on Sri Krishna and when one reads them and understands the meaning, one cannot but start loving Sri Krishna.

The sad part is these temples are in a dilapidated stage. The priest seems to be better off than Sri Krishna himself.

One must listen to Aruna Sairams Kalinga Nardana. YouTube - Aruna Sairam - 13 - tillAnA kALinga nartanam - gambheera nATTai - mArgazhi mahA utsavam 2008.

You can visualize Sri Krishna dancing.

    Hare Krishna!
